10 Best Rippling Alternatives and Competitors Compared

Rippling competitors and alternatives compared for 2026

TL;DR
  • The 10 best Rippling alternatives are Gusto, ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, TriNet, BambooHR, Workday, Deel, Remote and Multiplier, plus Wisemonk if your team sits in India.
  • Rippling publishes no rate card, so shortlist by who does. Five of the ten publish a price: BambooHR from $10, Deel at $599, Remote at $699, Multiplier at $459 and Gusto on a base plus per person model.
  • Label the category before you compare. Rippling spans HR, IT and finance, so its rivals split across payroll software, HCM suites, PEOs, HRIS platforms and EORs.
  • The $400 figure attached to Multiplier is its Contractor of Record rate, not its EOR rate. Its EOR plans are $459 Core and $519 Growth, as of September 2026.

Comparing Rippling alternatives and not sure which one actually replaces the piece of Rippling you use?

Ten platforms make a credible shortlist across four categories. Rates run from $10 per employee per month for an HR system up to $699 for a global employer of record, and Rippling itself quotes per deal rather than listing a figure.

If you are the founder, HR lead or finance lead unpicking one part of Rippling, here is how the ten compare.

Every rate here comes from the vendor's own pricing page, checked in September 2026, and each provider sits in the category it actually belongs to, so you are comparing like with like.

How do the 10 best Rippling alternatives compare?

They sort into four categories: US payroll software, HR systems, enterprise HCM and global employers of record. The category decides what each can replace, and who is legally the employer.

Here is the whole field, Rippling in the first row for reference.

Rippling also gives no consolidated EOR country count, so ask any quote exactly which countries it covers.

Before you pick a replacement, work out what you are actually replacing.

What is Rippling, and which part of it are you replacing?

Rippling is an HR, IT and finance platform, not a pure payroll tool and not a pure EOR. Its competitors sit in five categories, and replacing the wrong one is the most common mistake here.

  • Payroll software: runs US pay runs, tax filing and year-end forms, and little else.
  • HCM suite: payroll plus benefits, time, talent and reporting in one mid-market or enterprise system.
  • PEO: a co-employment arrangement where the provider handles US payroll taxes and benefits. We cover how a PEO differs from an EOR separately.
  • HRIS: the people record, onboarding, performance and engagement, with no pay run of its own. Here is what an HRIS actually covers.
  • Employer of Record (EOR): employs someone abroad through the provider's own local entity, so you hire where you hold no company. Our complete guide to the EOR model explains how it works.

So what pushes teams to look elsewhere?

Why do companies switch from Rippling?

Rippling is a strong platform, and most teams leaving it are not unhappy with the software. Three things usually drive it.

  • No price you can model: Rippling quotes per deal and per module, so you cannot budget a renewal without a call.
  • Paying for modules you do not use: the value is HR, IT and finance together. Use one of the three and the bundle stops paying for itself.
  • Hiring abroad: Rippling gives no EOR country count, so a dedicated EOR is easier to compare on coverage.

That points you at a category. Now the ten themselves.

What are the 10 best Rippling alternatives?

The ten are Gusto, ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, TriNet, BambooHR, Workday, Deel, Remote and Multiplier, plus Wisemonk if your team sits in India. They run in category order, starting at the US payroll end.

1. Gusto

  • What it is: US payroll software with benefits administration and basic HR.
  • Pricing: Gusto prices plans across Simple, Plus and Premium, a base monthly fee plus a fee per person, with paid extras on top.
  • The honest limitation: no device or app management. Gusto Global is powered by Remote, and Remote is the legal employer, so Gusto is not itself an EOR.

Go deeper: Gusto vs Rippling on pricing, features and reviews.

2. ADP

ADP is not one product. RUN is small-business payroll for 1 to 49 employees, Workforce Now is the mid-market suite, TotalSource is the PEO, and Celergo is the global payroll arm.

  • What it is: a family of payroll, HCM and PEO products rather than a single platform.
  • Pricing: no list price. A number only exists once you have named which product you need.
  • The honest limitation: the interface shows its age, and RUN, Workforce Now and TotalSource are sold, priced and implemented separately.

Go deeper: Rippling vs ADP on global payroll and pricing.

3. Paycor

Paycor is a full HCM suite covering payroll, benefits, talent and workforce management.

  • What it is: a full HCM suite, US focused. Paychex acquired Paycor in April 2025 for about $4.1 billion, so the two are no longer independent rivals.
  • Pricing: custom quote. Paycor moved pricing behind a quote during 2026.
  • The honest limitation: you cannot size Paycor before you talk to its sales team.

4. Paylocity

  • What it is: a full HCM suite, US payroll with global payroll delivered through a partner.
  • Pricing: custom quote. Paylocity's pricing page explains the model but carries no figures.
  • The honest limitation: global payroll reaches 100+ countries through Blue Marble rather than Paylocity's own entities, so it is a partner arrangement.

5. TriNet

  • What it is: a US PEO, priced per employee per month.
  • Pricing: custom quote. TriNet runs a three-step quote instead.
  • The honest limitation: co-employment means less direct control, and a PEO does nothing for hiring in a country where you hold no entity.

Justworks is the other US PEO that comes up constantly here, and we compare Justworks and Rippling side by side on a separate page.

6. BambooHR

  • What it is: an HRIS. Payroll is a separate add-on, not part of the core product.
  • Pricing: Core $10, Pro $17 and Elite $25 per employee per month, with a flat rate from $250 a month for 25 employees or fewer. Nonprofits get 15 percent off.
  • The honest limitation: the payroll add-on has no listed price, and the Global Employment add-on is powered by Remote, so BambooHR is not the employer abroad.

Go deeper: the best BambooHR alternatives, compared.

7. Workday

  • What it is: enterprise HCM plus financial management in one system.
  • Pricing: custom quote. Workday states only that pricing varies.
  • The honest limitation: native payroll runs in five markets only, with everything else delivered through partners. India is not one of the five.

8. Deel

  • What it is: an EOR plus contractor management. Deel states entities and payroll in 130+ countries, and compliance coverage across 150+.
  • Pricing, as of September 2026: EOR $599 per employee per month, contractors $49, Contractor of Record $325, US PEO $125 and recruiting $14.
  • The honest limitation: coverage mixes owned and partner entities, and breadth across 130 countries is not the same thing as depth in any one of them.

Deel acquired Omnipresent in October 2025, so Omnipresent is no longer an independent alternative.

Go deeper: Deel vs Rippling on pricing, features and EOR coverage.

Our wider roundup of Deel competitors and alternatives covers who else operates at that scale.

9. Remote

  • What it is: an EOR operating through owned entities in 90+ countries.
  • Pricing, as of September 2026: $699 per employee per month for EOR, and $29 per contractor.
  • The honest limitation: a smaller country footprint than Deel, and the price sits at the top of the band.

Worth knowing: Remote is also the engine behind Gusto Global and BambooHR's global employment add-on. You can end up on Remote without ever choosing it.

Go deeper: Rippling vs Remote as global HR platforms.

10. Multiplier

Multiplier is the cheapest of the three global EOR options here. Its plans are $459 and $519, not $400.

  • What it is: an EOR with contractor and global payroll products alongside.
  • Pricing, as of September 2026: EOR Core $459 and Growth $519 per employee per month billed annually, or $499 and $559 on a monthly contract. Enterprise is on quote.
  • The honest limitation: Multiplier states 160+ countries but does not break out which are its own entities and which are partners, so ask before you compare it on reach.

About that $400: it is Multiplier's Contractor of Record rate, not its EOR rate.

Independent contractors are $40 and global payroll starts at $20, so the products are easy to conflate. Check which one a quote is for.

Go deeper: Rippling vs Multiplier on EOR pricing and coverage.

And if India is the market driving this decision, there is a shorter route.

If India is where your team is: Wisemonk

We are an India specialist. That is both the pitch and the limitation. If you need 40 countries, one of the ten above is your answer, not us.

  • What it is: an India-specialist Employer of Record, with contractor payments and entity setup alongside.
  • Best for: global companies whose India headcount is the reason they are shopping in the first place.
  • Pricing, as of September 2026: from $99 per employee per month, with no setup fees and no minimums.
  • The honest limitation: one country. No US payroll, no device management, and nothing that replaces Rippling's platform for a US team.

Hiring in India rather than everywhere?

We run EOR, payroll and compliance in India from $99 per employee per month, with no entity of your own.

Switching is not always the right answer.

When should you stay with Rippling?

Stay if you genuinely use HR, IT and finance together. Nothing here reproduces one action that provisions a laptop, grants app access and starts payroll at once. If two of those three are dead weight, you are paying for a platform you do not use.

So which one belongs on your contract?

Which Rippling alternative fits your situation?

Pick by the job, not the brand. US pay runs point to payroll software, people operations to an HR system, US benefits to a PEO, and hiring abroad to an EOR.

Rippling EOR across many countriesDeel, Remote, Multiplier, Oyster, G-PHiring where you hold no entity, at a published rate
Rippling EOR for IndiaWisemonkOne country, handled directly rather than through a partner

A few more names belong on the right shortlist.

For small US payroll, OnPay charges $49 a month plus $6 per worker across 50 states and DC. QuickBooks Payroll now bundles payroll with its accounting plans.

On the global side, Oyster charges $699 and G-P $599 per employee per month. We also compare Oyster against Rippling directly if those two are your shortlist.

One detail worth catching: Oyster covers 120+ countries for EOR and 180+ for contractors, and those two numbers are not interchangeable. G-P covers 180+.

Playroll charges $399 a month across 180+ countries. Pebl, what Velocity Global became in September 2025, covers 185+ countries but names no rate. Our Velocity Global and Pebl alternatives guide covers that end of the market.

Still weighing an EOR against your own entity? Our guide to EOR alternatives compares the six routes on cost and breakeven.

And if the shortlist has narrowed to India, our roundup of the best EOR services in India goes deeper than this page can.

So what does that look like with an India specialist?

How does Wisemonk help if you are hiring in India?

Wisemonk is an India-native Employer of Record that helps global companies hire, pay and manage people in India without setting up a local entity.

More than 300 global companies run their India teams with us, covering over 2,000 employees and $20M+ in annual payroll.

We hold 4.8 out of 5 on G2, and EOR starts at $99 per employee per month with no setup fees and no minimums.

Here is what that covers:

We are a leading EOR in India, now expanding our services to the US and UK.

I'm very Happy that I discovered Wisemonk. They have been a pure pleasure to work with, and their attention to detail is impressive. They helped us understand their pricing model, find top-qualified individuals, interview them, and then onboard them. I gave them criteria for the type of people we sought, and they delivered. The individuals they were able to find have been some of the best engineers I have ever worked with. I recommend Wisemonk to anyone who is in need of staffing assistance.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Rippling's biggest competitor?

It depends on the category. For US payroll, Gusto and ADP compete hardest. For mid-market suites, Paycor and Paylocity. For enterprise HR, Workday. For global hiring, Deel and Remote. Rippling spans HR, IT and finance, so no single vendor competes with all of it.

What companies are similar to Rippling?

The closest full-suite Rippling alternatives are Paycor, Paylocity and ADP Workforce Now, which bundle payroll, benefits and talent. BambooHR and HiBob cover the HR side, TriNet handles US benefits as a PEO, and Deel, Remote and Multiplier handle employment abroad.

How much does Rippling cost?

Rippling publishes no rate card. Its pricing page says it will send a custom quote once you specify which services you need. Any per-employee figure attached to Rippling comes from its own blog rather than its price list, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Is Rippling better than ADP?

Neither is better outright. Rippling suits teams wanting HR, IT and payroll automated together in one modern interface. ADP suits teams wanting a long-established payroll bureau with deep multi-state tax filing. Neither publishes a list price, so compare actual quotes for the products you need.

Why is Rippling better than Workday?

It is not better, it is smaller and faster to run. Rippling fits growing companies wanting HR, IT and payroll in one place. Workday fits large enterprises needing matrix reporting and multi-entity consolidation. Workday also runs native payroll in only five markets, India excluded.

How long does it take to switch from Rippling?

Plan two to four weeks. Export every year-to-date record before access ends, time the cutover to a new quarter or tax year, and run one parallel pay cycle. Most Rippling alternatives offer migration help. People employed abroad need longer, because contracts and benefits must transfer.

What is the best Rippling alternative for hiring in India?

A specialist beats a generalist when one country is the whole requirement. Wisemonk is an India-only Employer of Record from $99 per employee per month, against $459 to $699 on the global platforms. If you need many countries, choose Deel, Remote or Multiplier instead.
